Languages International is very pleased to announce that our Director, Frances Woolcott, has recently been elected Chairperson of APPEL, the Association of Private Providers of English Language. APPEL, whose members enrol about 80% of international students studying English in New Zealand, is the voice for the private English teaching industry in New Zealand.
Frances has been a member of the APPEL executive since 2003, actively participating in industry forums and projects. A pioneer in the English language teaching industry in New Zealand, Frances continues to work to ensure a positive environment for all New Zealand language schools.
From all of us at Languages International, congratulations to Frances on her new role. It is a well-deserved recognition of her career long achievements and contributions to the industry.

Cambridge Exam results June 2005
Congratulations to our Cambridge exam students for June 2005. 43 students sat FCE, CAE or CPE exams. 35 out of 43 passed their main choice exam meaning our overall pass rate was 81%.
The FCE results are very pleasing with 15 out of 15 candidates passing. Overall, our results are still way higher than the international average and the Auckland average of 77%.
Congratulations to all the students and their teachers.
