We love it when students get involved in the social programme and this week, 3 Dutch girls decided to take us out to show us how to eat, Netherland style. 11 students took the bus over the Harbour Bridge to a tiny cafe and were treated to delicious Bittenballen, Frikandel Speciaal for main course and yummy Poffertjes for dessert. Everyone was chatting away, that we didn’t even notice it was suddenly 4pm! As we left, totally full, we all decided that’s how to spend an afternoon.

Last weekend 5 Languages International students went on an authentic Maori cultural weekend. They were welcomed into the Maori community, learnt about traditional customs and ate delicious Maori food called a Hangi. The group also went to the beach, sang and danced Maori-style and made special Maori carvings to take home.
