CNN Names Auckland 1 of 10 Best Cities

Downtown Auckland - the circled buildings in the park are Languages International Auckland

Auckland is one of the best cities in the world to live in says CNN. CNN used the aggregated information from annual surveys such as the Economist Intelligence Unit's global livability report, Mercer's quality of living index and Monocle's most livable cities list to make a list of the "10 most livable cities." CNN commented on Auckland's "breathtaking scenery", "top-notch health care" and "relaxed vibe."

Don't believe CNN, as this is a real hole. Look at the prices for apartments - they are unreal,e.g. $350 minimum for 1 bedroom apartment which is worse than a garden shed.

Hahaha. $350 NZD? That's like $200 USD. You can't get a parking spot in most US or European cities for that price. I was paying $235/mo for a parking spot in Denver a few years ago. Much more expensive anywhere near the ocean. High cost of living may be a moderate issue, but $350 is not a high cost.

That is $350 per week, not per month, but I disagree with that post about Auckland being "a hole". It is a beautiful city with a lot to offer.
